Draw This In Your Style - Flower Maiden

If you don't already know, this is a redraw of my original character Flower Maiden that I made back in 2013 to use in RPG Maker VX Ace. The original Flower Maiden is a free digital game asset that includes a sprite sheet and some faceset/emoset. I might make an updated portrait of the Flower Maiden for RPG Maker MV, but not the sprite since there's already a sprite generator in the latest software. If I ever do, I'll post it here and on the RPG Maker forums!

Fan Art Fest 2020 on Instagram

I'll be joining in an Instagram art challenge called the #fanartfest2020.

My t-shirts for the matching couples moon and sun t-shirts are now live on Amazon! Also I decided to have it available on Redbubble as well although it is a bit more expensive on there. I just thought it would be more convenient for customers to have it available in different markets.

Cute Vegetable Stickers Done

Turning my Coloring Books into Stickers

Currently I'm transforming my coloring book illustrations into stickers. So far I finished coloring my designs from "Cute Fruits" and the stickers are sold on my Redbubble shop!

I wished I could have put them all in one sheet, but they would have been super tiny since there's a total of 20 fruits; that's why I split it into 2 sets.

Today I released 4 designs on Redbubble! They look so cute on mugs! I can't wait to release them as t-shirts as well on Amazon once publishing resumes for Merch by Amazon.

The prices seen on the picture is the 20% off when you buy any 4 and they also have 15% off when you buy any 2. It's a pretty neat promo offer since you can mix and match with other mug designs by other artists on Redbubble!

Cat Foodie: Coloring Book is live

I recently published my new coloring book! I never thought I'll ever be obsessed with cats until I had a cat of my own. It all started when my friend had to give up on his cat when he was moving away and that's when I took in his cat named Kitty. Quite a name, right? I kept her name as is because apparently cats respond well to names that end in "y." Kitty was the most nicest cat ever—and chubby. She loved to nap on my bed, go in boxes, and got crazy whenever she heard a bag of treats. The sweetest moments with Kitty was when I laid in bed, she would climb up to my chest and massage me with her cute little paws and lay there purring. However my time with her only lasted for a year because oddly enough I had to move and give her up as well. But Kitty did end up with my friend again. Anyway my coloring book was inspired from my love for cats and food; plus everything looks better when it's cat shaped!

I'm making Coloring Books!

As of late I have been working on creating coloring books on KDP(Kindle Direct Publishing). I happened to stumble upon a Youtube video on my feed and that's what started it all. The video I watched was by Let's Draw with BeeJayDeL(link to the video here).

Instead of using the software mentioned in the video, I used Krita to draw my illustrations and Scribus to compile my manuscript. Both are free to use which is good for starters like me.

I was very excited to begin publishing my own coloring books so I started off with some simple and cute illustrations. I have already published two books! You can check them out on Amazon:

Flower Maiden Tweaked

I know I've been absent for a long while, but I'm hoping to get back into drawing assets. So to start things off I've cleaned and tidy up the Flower Maiden because I noticed that there's some blemish in the background and her jawline seemed off.

Flower Maiden Faceset/Emoset

So I finally made a faceset/emoset for my flower maiden character as shown in my older post. It has been so long that I forgot I called it emoset instead of faceset until I revisited my post of "want to do's" list; so I'm not sure which one is the correct term, but I'm sure people use them interchangeably (I even searched the terms on the RPG Maker Forum just to be sure haha).

Sheep and Sheared Sheep Sprite

I tinkered with the original sheep sprite from RPG Maker VX Ace. The first sprite I added a white fluff on its head. The second sprite is when it is sheared which shows a decreased body size and pinkish nude color. I hope this will be helpful to those who are looking to create that sheared sheep state like in Harvest Moon. Let me know what you think about the sheared sheep in the comments below!

My flower maiden character is based on a sketch that I made way back in my high school years. Here's the sketch:

Flower Maiden Sprite

I actually finished the sprite a while back, just didn't have the chance to post it up. ^_^ This was my first time designing a sprite and I'd say it's decent for a first-timer like me! Also I know that my color palette isn't that well blended, but I think it should be fine because it defines my style of art, same goes for my character portrait. :) Thanks for checking me out! 

Flower Maiden Portrait

Hi all, sorry for the long gap of posting. I've been busy with school and drawing digitally is practically the first time for me. Also please leave me any constructive criticism and keep in mind that I'm only a novice at art because drawing is a hobby of mine (so no cruel comments please! >_<). Anyway here is my character portrait: Flower Maiden!

My List of "Want To Do's"

Currently I'm working on a character portrait that I made up. At the same time I'm learning more about coloring in digital art and about pixel art, which I'm getting a better understanding of how to approach it. I'm quite excited to finish it up soon and look forward for you guys/gals to give me feedback. :)

Anyway this is my list of what I want to do:

• make a sprite set for my character
• make a emoset for my character
• make animal sprites
• make a themed set of furniture
• make some icons

Once I complete the whole set for my character, I'll post it on forums.rpgmakerweb.com to make it a clean forum, but as for on the blog I will post each set I finish rather than all at once.

And if you have any ideas you have for me, feel free to post them here!

Coloring Sprites Tutorial

Here's a trick I use for coloring existing sprite images. It usually takes me an hour to two to complete a full set. I hope you find it helpful!

Village Girl and Boy

Hello there!
Last night I was working on coloring the village girl sprites, because there aren't any generators (at least I haven't seen any) to generate children. Next I'll be working on coloring the village boy. (see Update) And maybe some day I'll make my own sprites, but as of now I'm only coloring existing graphics. :)
I think the next post I'll give out tips on how I do my coloring; it's pretty fun to do!
