Flower Maiden Sprite

I actually finished the sprite a while back, just didn't have the chance to post it up. ^_^ This was my first time designing a sprite and I'd say it's decent for a first-timer like me! Also I know that my color palette isn't that well blended, but I think it should be fine because it defines my style of art, same goes for my character portrait. :) Thanks for checking me out!

Hi all, sorry for the long gap of posting. I've been busy with school and drawing digitally is practically the first time for me. Also please leave me any constructive criticism and keep in mind that I'm only a novice at art because drawing is a hobby of mine (so no cruel comments please! >_<). Anyway here is my character portrait: Flower Maiden!

My List of "Want To Do's"

Currently I'm working on a character portrait that I made up. At the same time I'm learning more about coloring in digital art and about pixel art, which I'm getting a better understanding of how to approach it. I'm quite excited to finish it up soon and look forward for you guys/gals to give me feedback. :)

Anyway this is my list of what I want to do:

• make a sprite set for my character
• make a emoset for my character
• make animal sprites
• make a themed set of furniture
• make some icons

Once I complete the whole set for my character, I'll post it on forums.rpgmakerweb.com to make it a clean forum, but as for on the blog I will post each set I finish rather than all at once.

And if you have any ideas you have for me, feel free to post them here!

Coloring Sprites Tutorial

Here's a trick I use for coloring existing sprite images. It usually takes me an hour to two to complete a full set. I hope you find it helpful!

Village Girl and Boy

Hello there!
Last night I was working on coloring the village girl sprites, because there aren't any generators (at least I haven't seen any) to generate children. Next I'll be working on coloring the village boy. (see Update) And maybe some day I'll make my own sprites, but as of now I'm only coloring existing graphics. :)
I think the next post I'll give out tips on how I do my coloring; it's pretty fun to do!

To start off this blog, I introduce you a edited emoset of the default People 3-8 in RPG VX Ace! You may be wondering why I chose this character, well...it's because it's my main character for my game bwahahaha...didn't expect that did you! :P
